Membership Information

The Chesapeake Water Environment Association (Chesapeake WEA) is a Member Association (MA) of the Water
Environment Federation (WEF). There are 45 MAs in North America and 30 internationally. 

Chesapeake WEA is dedicated to improving water quality and protecting the water environment in Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
The Association strives to do this through public education, the exchange of technical and scientific information among water quality professionals,
the training of wastewater and water treatment plant operators, and by offering technical expertise and advice to the law-making and regulatory processes.

WEF works to provide its members, public officials, and the general public with the necessary tools to improve quality of life through the sustainable
management of water resources, water protection, and water and wastewater treatment. The foundation of WEF membership is the philosophy that every
individual member contributes to making our world a better place to live by working in water quality.
